Karla Jacobs is an American writer who has recently discovered the joy of writing poetry after years of writing personal essays and travelogues for online and print magazines. She loves the close examination poetry requires of its subjects and the challenge of telling stories in compact form. She and her husband split time between their homes in Georgia and North Carolina and enjoy the outdoor activities abundant in both places. They have two grown children.
